St John's Church, Broadbridge Heath.
5th May 2006

An unusual modernist building, St John's was built in 1962 to replace a sheet iron chapel that stood nearby. The well known sculpture depicting the crucifixion which hangs on the front was designed by local artist and one time President of the Royal Society of British Sculptors E. B. Copnall and has recently become the centre of controversy as it is debated whether or not to remove it.
