Church of St. John the Baptist at Capel
29th March 2007

Capel takes its name from a capella (Latin: chapel) built there in the 12th century. By the 14th century, it was known as The parish Church of St. Lawrence, but changed its dedication to St. John the Baptist in the mid 16th Century. The present building dates mainly to the 13th century
