St. Andrew's Church at Nuthurst.

St Andrew's is a building of mixed date, ranging from the 20th century Fort Worth, Moschini and East windows to the 12th Century chancel and possibly earlier. Of particular note are the ceiling painitings in the chancel and the painted rood screen.

The rood screen, decorated with 8 saints (St. Lewinna, St. Hugh, St. Dunstan, St. Richard, St. Wilfrith, St. Cuthman, St Leonard and St. Hilda) and bears the words 'Sic enim dilexit deus mundum ut filium suum unigenitum daret ut omnis qui credit in eum no pereat (John 3:16)

The painted ceiling dates from 1947 when the chancel was redecorated in memory of  Mr. W. Abbey of Sedgwick Park.

The organ case. The text reads thus: ''Omnis spiritus laudet  Dominum. Jubilate Deo introite in conspecto eius in exultatione. Laudate eum in tympano et choro.''  which tanslates as  ''All ye people praise the Lord. Be joyful in the Lord; come before His presence with jubilation. Praise Him with drums and choirs.''
